The History of CONCHIFRIT dates back to 1920 when the grandmother of Mr.José López worked in her shop on Carcel Baja street in Granada.
This shop was located on the ground floor of the Provincial Prison which used to be there, with its biggest clients being the employees and inmates of the prison and the family and friends visiting them.
In 1943, when the Prison closed, Conchifrit moved to nº50 de la calle S. Juan de Dios.
Until 1970 it worked at this address. With the business having been inherited by Mr. José López, the current brand owner, an office was then opened at Calle Gran Capitán, 9 de Granada.
In 1980 the manufacture of potato chips was moved to Huetor Vega, Granada with premises of 500m2 and owing to the great popularity of this product, its quality and the growing volume of demand it moved again to the current address where it has 3,000 m2. |
